By Kaapstad out of Leto by Star Way, she carries the Sir Tristram/Star Way cross with its All Moonshine/New Moon reinforcement of the Selene number 6 family line. Hyperion is carried twice via Leto's dam. Klairon is placed 4x4.

One could be forgiven for stopping there and saying that the Selene syndrome is at play here and I am sure it is. However, a further reinforcement occurs that may have added an extra spark to this promising mare.

She has as her 9th dam Dodoma, a number 9 family member out of Mumtaz Begum. Dodoma was put to Dante to produce Diableretta. This makes Diableretta a close relation to Royal Charger, Dante being by Nearco. Can you see where this is heading?

To continue, Diableretta was put to Tulyar who carries Nearco in the 2nd generation. This gives her daughter Ginetta Nearco 3x3 and Solario 4x4 and many other duplications.

Ginetta to Charlottesville produced Nasreen, Charlottesville's dam Noorani by Nearco. Interestingly, Noorani has as her 3rd dam Simone, a full sister to Rabelais.

Nasreen was put to Right Royal to get Nilmeen. Nilmeen was mated to Great Nephew to produce Nakhayla, bringing in a further line of Nearco.

Finally, Nakhayla is put to Star Way to get Leto. Star Way carried Nearco's half brother Niccolo dell'Arca.

For the first time with the mating of Leto to Kaapstad, the number 9 female line has been reinforced. Remember, Diableretta was by a son of Nearco out of a daughter of Mumtaz Begum.

Kaapstad descends tail-male from Royal Charger while his female line goes to Tessa Gillian, full sister to Royal Charger (Nearco - Sun Princess ex Mumtaz Begum).
