The following pedigree services are available:
Pedigree analysis - In depth analysis of the horse's pedigree, identifying the strengths and dominant features that are likely to exert influence on breeding and performance. We examine the presence of proven "nicks", successful line-breeding, and important reinforcements that make up the overall genetic phenotype. Importantly, we show you how this particular line-breeding has worked in the past and how best to capitalize on these strengths. In-depth analysis of the merit of the female line, including detailed analysis and explanation of potential X-factor influences. Appraisal of distance aptitude (dosage), and elements within the pedigree that can be strengthened in a mating plan.
Mating Plans – A recommended list of stallions for your mare is provided based on pedigree, type, conformation, distance aptitude, geographical location and availability.
Stallion appraisal – A full appraisal of a thoroughbred stallion, identifying the important pedigree influences that should be capitalized on by prospective broodmare owners. This report is ideal for stallion owners preparing promotional material for publication. We identify the stallion's pedigree strangths and bloodlines that can be utilized in potential breeding stock.
Racing Pedigree Analysis - In-depth analysis of potential racing ability based on pedigree. This package is ideal for persons looking into buying an untried racehorse or yearling, purchasing a share or lease. The report is also ideal for bloodstock syndicators for use in promotional material. The emphasis here is on the likelihood of racetrack success, the distances over which the horse is likely to excel, and any particular racing traits common to the breed. As the majority of successful racehorses have compatible, well-matched pedigrees, this service is tremendously helpful for making purchase decisions.
Sales catalogue analysis - If you are looking to purchase at a sale, send us a list of the lots you are interested in and we will provide brief comments, analysis, our recommendations based on known breeding theories, and a seven generation tabulated pedigree. The recommendation is provided based on likelihood of racetrack success.
